madison danielle

[madi circa this time last year]

do you ever notice, it's just more fun to post when you have a picture accompanying, either to help describe your content, or even just break up the text? well i don't care if you've found it to be true or not. it works for me.

this is a picture of my sister, madison danielle. she will be 9 in august. i am ashamed to say that i have not seen her since christmas. i hope to see her this weekend when i go to tulsa for my friend's wedding. it has been way too long. for those just tuning in, feel free to view previous posts about two of my 3 brothers zach, and sean. i will blog about eric another day.

yes, i finally will have the opportunity to perform the duties of best man, for none other than brian k. (better known as BK). next weekend, he will wed a lovely young lady named leann. i was just lying awake, cooking up devious plans for the bachelor party. gonna be crazy.

on a related note, i would just like to say that i love shopping online. it could develop into a serious addiction if i let it. mainly i like to buy outdoorsy clothing and gear, but cd's, t-shirts, footwear, technology, you name it and i will find and purchase it via the internets. why joe, why would you choose to take such a risk what with identity theft, and the chance that someone might keep your money without sending what you paid for?!?! ok, first of all, voice, i'm not sure how you keep invading my blog posts before they are even finished... but i will explain if you will only give me time. normally, when you make a purchase, you get that little burst of excitement as you pick out what you want, carry it around the store, and then pay and take it home. then it is yours and the game is over. but, when shopping online [unquestionably better deals aside] you get that thrill of the search and the purchase. but then you wait with eager and ever-growing anticipation for that package to arrive at your door which you then get to unwrap and behold... it's as if someone has sent you a gift! i don't worry too much about the security of internet shopping, most of the places i order from are fairly well established, secure, etc. the only time i had any kind of bad experiece was with an eBay purchase from a guy in germany. it took about 2 months, but i still got what i paid for. p.s. not only has this europe vacation given me all kinds of excuses to exercise my hobby/ vice over the last few weeks, but i just bought a crap-load of sweet t-shirts tonight. thank you ever so much, joe, for enlightening us all with your e-commerce wisdom... your explanation was as informative as it was riveting. i might have died if forced to go another day without this knowledge.
no problem.
