sigur rós has announced several upcoming releases over the next few months, in particular:

in a frozen sea: a year with sigur rós available 6.1.7 [tour book following 06 iceland tour]

a new EP expected in august 07 [tracklist: von (new version), salka, lagið í gær, rokklagið, also includes new live video as a bonus]

a live dvd expected in october 07 [sigur rós on the road: the as yet untitled DVD of last summer’s iceland tour]

an acoustic LP also expected in october 07 [full-length album of acoustic songs]

so i was out on my scooter today...

band of horses has a new record in the works. on 3.25.7 they posted on their website that they are in the process of recording a follow-up to everything all the time. bitchin!

the white stripes will release their new album, 'icky thump' on 6.19.7

David Bazan [pedro the lion] is playing tomorrow night 4.16.7 @ the opolis w/ will johnson [centro-matic]. i might even try to go!?

the flaming lips' live dvd [filmed in okc 9.15.6] will be released 7.10.7

this evening jon, scott & i ensured our places in heaven by freeing a mortally wounded starling from suffering all night in a trap. then i ran it over with my car. it was mostly dead already. that is all.

i was at walgreens a couple weeks ago & i saw a 2-pack of ky warming/ tingling intimate massage stuff directly adjacent to a quick response early pregnancy test at the check-out counter (in the impulse section). i found this to be very ironic.

i would like to boast that i now have the complete new wilco album (which won't be released until 5.15.7) as well as most of the new bright eyes, andrew bird, & modest mouse albums, solely from gleaning across mp3 blogs online. jealous?
